Yes. In 1996, the voters of California passed Proposition 215, also
known as the Compassionate Use Act. Within California, the Act allows
for the recommendation by a physician for the medical use of marijuana
by a patient, and the cultivation, transportation and use of marijuana
for medical purposes by patients and caregivers. The Compassionate Use
Act exempts patients, caregivers and physicians who recommend the use of
marijuana for medical purposes from criminal laws, punishment, or the
denial of any rights or privileges. California Senate Bill (SB) 420
(Chapter 875, Statutes of 2003) was written into law in December of 2003
(see California Health and Safety Code, Article 2.5, Sections 11362.7
through 11362.83) and is part of California law to this date.

To register as a medical cannabis patient you must have a valid medical
reason for the use of medical marijuana. This use of marijuana has been
confirmed by a CA licensed physician who has determined that your health
would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of your Disease
or illness and you have obtained a written, dated and signed
recommendation from this physician. The physician's recommendation is
considered valid for 1 year or the date which has been stated on the
written recommendation; whichever is shorter as our patients must be in
regular medical contact with their physicians.
How much does it cost to register as a
new patient? - Top
Simply fill out the new patient registration form to begin. After you
complete your registration, please call our delivery line at:
949-954-0420 to speak with our validation department. We will then
contact your doctor to verify your recommendation to use medical
marijuana. After verification is complete a delivery will be scheduled.
We will require a completed copy of our verification form and you will
be asked to present your valid California State Issued Identification as
well as your current and valid physician's recommendation when our
delivery person arrives.
How long does the verification process
take? - Top
As soon as we are able to confirm your physician's recommendation with
the physician and/or their office then we are able to process your
registration. This process is usually same day, depending on their hours
of operation.
What happens to the information I give
to MobileMedsofOC.com? - Top
MobileMedsofOC.com prizes confidentiality for all our patients, and thus
keeps medical records strictly confidential. We very closely follow the
Federal Doctor-Patient Confidentiality (HIPPA) laws. Our patient
records will only be disclosed at the written request of the patient.
Do you submit my records to any
government agency? - Top
No, we do not submit patient's medical records to any government agency.
Your information is for medical verification only and kept strictly
confidential.
A clean, discrete and knowledgeable caregiver will deliver your
medication. We understand and respect your privacy.
Will I be asked to show my
ID/recommendation? - Top
Yes. We will ask to see your driver's license/ID Card or a passport as
well as your doctor's recommendation to use medical marijuana each time
we make a delivery. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule!
We process orders between 9am - 9pm, 7-days per week. Please expect a
1-3 hour window for deliveries scheduled the same day. Orders scheduled
24+ hours in advance should expect a 60-90 minute window. Please
note: traffic, weather conditions, and/or other factors may cause
delays in delivery time.
